I have been seeing this copy and paste thing pop up all over facebook about being an artist. I believe the overall theme is ‘i am an artist and i do not work for free.’ Which is an okay statement except i don’t agree with the sentiment because i can draw. (Not very well) but i don’t charge people a penny simply for the fact that i am some dude. I use the bathroom and snore in my sleep just like everyone else. If someone wants a drawing i did i’d give it to them for nothing. It’s a picture. Maybe someone should have taught me earlier that when i picked up a pencil it spun gold. I am just happy making others happy. Thats how you make friends/fans/whatever. I never understand the people at the horror conventions who charge.i understand thats how they make their rent and blah blah but if someone on the street went ‘oh holy shit it’s you’ instead of ‘get out of my way fucker’ i’d be off like a rocket. Not gimme 20 bucks. Long story short: i am an artist but it’s just a picture. Things are only worth something if someone is willing to pay for them. I’d rather get smiles.

I walked into a blockbuster and it was so sad and empty. I spent a large portion of my growing years watching every single movie at my local blockbuster. There was a guy who worked there who directed me towards all the greats. He doesn’t work there anymore. None of the people there were super friendly. When i bought a brand new copy of The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai across the eight dimension the guy at the counter frowned and stared at it and asked me if it was any good.
